Here are a few pics as students began arriving for their first big day!
Today the students began their first official class and were welcomed with several activity choices such as apple paint stamps, drawing, and other various manipulatives.

They all enjoyed getting to play outside on the play structure for the first time and took right to it!
After playtime, students came in and got ready for a snack. Kaitlyn was signed up to be the first Snack Helper.

The Snack Helper can wear the apron if they would like to, help pass out the snacks and pray. Her snack followed the current apple theme, which included apple slices, an apple fruit bar, apple juice, cheese and crackers. She introduced this prayer:
Thank you for the world so sweet.
Thank you for the food we eat.Thank you for the birds that sing.
Thank you, God, for everything!
Amen!
We encourage healthy choices for our snacktime and would like each student to get to be the Snack Helper at least once each month if possible. Please check ingredients and avoid the following ingredients as we have students with these food allergies as stated in the Orientation Outline:
*Red Dye #40 (watch for this in fruit juices too)
*Strawberries
*Pineapple
*Soy
*Peanut Butter
***If you did not personally prepare the snack, please bring in the nutritional facts so we can check the ingredients. Thank you!
When snacktime was over, the class moved to the next room for their last activity: circle time. This can include music, rhythm movement, singing, books, stories, etc. Students are dismissed when they see their parents come upstairs to pick them up from this circle time. What a fun-filled first day!
